In February of this year I was asked to partake in a co-working retreat in Bali, Indonesia with PACK. I jumped at the opportunity straight away, even though I would have to cut the month-long trip short by two weeks, as I had my first wedding of the season to photograph in early March.
The following photos are a culmination of what I was able to capture there in those two short weeks. From bailing hard on a scooter the first day I was there, to exploring what felt like another planet, I tried to capture the essence of this place, both on land and from the air. All the photos are in the order I took them, from the lush green rice fields close to where I stayed in Ubud, to the roads and beaches of Canggu. From the surf culture of Uluwatu to an actual Royal Cremation ceremony, I was constantly photographing with heightened senses.
In under a week I leave for South Africa with PACK again, this time as the official trip photographer. Although I’ll only be there for two weeks, as I have my last wedding of the year this Saturday, I'm very much looking forward to seeing a completely different part of the world through my lens.
